Alphard or Hiace? A family and luggage planning guide
A comfortable airport ride starts with the right fit. Count passengers and luggage together, then confirm the actual vehicle configuration before booking.

Start with people and bags together
A vehicle name or advertised seat count does not tell you how much luggage will fit in the assigned configuration. Tell the provider how many adults and children are travelling, then list each suitcase by approximate size. A stroller, golf bag, wheelchair or oversized item can change the vehicle needed.
Alphard and Hiace: what to compare

Send a useful luggage list
“Four bags” can mean four cabin cases or four large suitcases. Give approximate dimensions if possible, identify any rigid or unusually shaped items, and mention whether the stroller folds. If you are unsure, send a photo of the luggage to the booking team before agreeing the vehicle. Avoid including passports or other personal documents in the photo.
Travelling with children or additional needs
Share the number of children and their ages when requesting a child seat, and confirm availability before booking. If boarding assistance, a mobility aid or particular access arrangements are needed, describe them in advance. Do not assume that every vehicle configuration can accommodate the same equipment.
Airport transfer or a day with a driver?
For an airport transfer, include the flight, destination address and all luggage. For a private charter, list the places you hope to visit, pickup and return addresses, and anything you will carry during the day. Check whether luggage stays with the group throughout the route and confirm any requested extra stops.
